What is the Club?
The Sailing Club is designed as an extension to the Sailing School. Many people who take instruction
are not in the market to purchase a boat immediately. Without a boat for practice, your new-found
skills are quickly lost. The Sailing Club fills this void by offering you well designed, well maintained
sailing yachts at a fraction of ownership costs. The Club also has occasional socials, clinics, and cruises
where you can meet other people in a fun filled sailing atmosphere. Boats are available in Seattle and
Tacoma, giving you a wide choice of sailing atmosphere. Boats are available in Seattle and Tacoma,
giving you a wide choice of sailing experiences. Day sailing is the primary focus of the Club. If you are
interested in weekend and extended cruising, ask for the Yacht Lease brochure.
WHO CAN JOIN?
All Club boats are available for day sails to those who hold ASA Basic Sailing Certification. ASA Basic Coastal
Cruising certification opens up the boats to you for overnight charter. Experienced sailors who challenge the
standards and obtain ASA certification also become eligible for membership. Call the office for details.
Note: We also have sailboats for weekend or week-long skippered charters. Call us to schedule your next sailing
vacation. Want a larger boat for bareboat (self-skippered) charters? Ask for our brochure about Yacht Leasing!
The Capri 22 (22') is now a part of the fleet, available in Bell
Harbor (downtown Seattle). This 2004 boat has a 135% roller
furling genoa, is quick and responsive, and has a nice cuddy
cabin.
The Martin 242 is quick, responsive, and fun to sail. It boasts a big
10’ divided cockpit, roller furling jib, and cozy cabin with 4 berths,
interior lights and porta-potti. It is outboard powered and
spinnaker* equipped. Available in Tacoma only!
The newest member of our Tacoma fleet is a 1979 Catalina 27
(27’). Duck has roller furling genoa, luxurious cabin with interior
lights, small galley, and head. Great for overnights with your
